Performing Ancient Tenea is a multi-year interdisciplinary practice research and knowledge exchange project (2024-2028) initiated and led by Andreas Skourtis through his practice studio Performing Architectures, with support from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama – University of London.

Developed in collaboration with the Archaeological Excavation of Ancient Tenea Team (Hellenic Ministry of Culture), under the direction of Dr Elena Korka, and in partnership with the Municipality of Corinth, the project unfolds within the live archaeological excavation site in Chiliomodi – Corinth. Through a series of site-specific performance interventions and an ongoing process of architectural design, the project explores how performance design and architecture can activate the excavation and open new ways of interpreting and communicating archaeological knowledge.

Its outcomes include the design of a new Cultural Centre in Chiliomodi, incorporating a theatre, cultural spaces, and a digital museum and exhibition environment dedicated to Ancient Tenea.
